How to optimize new user activation

New user activation is one of the most important parts of a successful software-as-a-service (SaaS) business. 100% of your new users will go through the onboarding process so it's critical to make them realize the core value of your product as fast as possible.

Facebook is famously known for its key success metric for activation which was how fast they could get new users to add 10 friends on the platform.

Based on behavioral analytics, they knew that if users got to that point, they would have a much higher chance of sticking around.
